I danced for nearly ten years as my main job. I've been to 3 provinces and had a good following, and even taught the new girls at my home club for the longest time, so I know I am personable and a self starter.
I thought I would get out of dancing and get a job as a paralegal, and I've had some decent success. I currently work for a legal temp agency, and I told them I also work as a nanny part time, so that way I can stay on the roster and have something for my resume. Realistically, I don't get along with guys with attitude problems ( I blame years of dancing for this) And many (if not a majority) of lawyers nowadays are still men.
For this reason, along with the crap pay, high stress and demanding schedule, I don't see myself doing this forever.
I would like to establish myself as a cam model full time.
I look like a housewife/trophy wife. I am blonde, blue eyed, slim, fit and I'm 35. So I've got the milf thing going on. I do injections.
I tried chaturbate a few times, and did ok. However, I noticed that it wasn't as easy money as my first nights stripping.
I'm not looking to get rich, realistically I just want to fill my time and make something comparable to what I made in an office job.
I'm wondering if this will be possible? It's been so long since I was on cam so I don't really know the business anymore.
Thanks !
Thoughts on couples camming? I brought my boyfriend on and it was the worst night I have had yet. Granted he was only on for an hour and then had to go because he works a normal job.
Can this be profitable or should I stick to solo?
Thanks all. I read about split camming on the old site but had forgotten about it until now. I will look into it.
For Chaturbate, I filled out my payment info, and then converted tokens to cash.. I assume this is all I need to do? and then wait for the cheque?
I was encouraged in regards to money- I made more than I would have in my office job, even before the exchange rate. And there was no demanding commute and know it all bosses.
You can absolutely make great (or at least, consistent) money camming. The biggest issue is that you do have to be a self-starter, and be prepared to spend time reading, learning strategies, and experimenting. But you've already got a lot of experience and shown that you can thrive in this industry, and that will go a long way.
Chaturbate and token sites can be challenging, they are their own beast, but most girls who do them are splitcamming, and working several sites at once. You can make great money, but they're not as "easy" as they used to be. Some girls use them more for exposure, to collect social media followers and subscribers for sites like OnlyFans. Customers have a tendency to google your username, and they'll find you on social media or whatever other sites you're working.
If you haven't yet, I'd suggest trying a private-based site like Streamate. You do 1-on-1 cam sessions, get paid per minute (and also have the option to receive tips with things like Lovense, toys in the free chat), and can learn the ropes.
There are also Daily Pay services to get paid faster, with BoleynModels being the most reputable. They had a presence on StripperWeb, not everyone feels the need to use them, but getting paid immediately was a huge help & motivator for me when I was transitioning out of a vanilla career, to start camming.
We have some great info saved here in the camming section, from the old StripperWeb forums, but you can also browse through StripperWeb on the Internet Archive/Wayback Machine. The Challenge threads were great, we had girls making 2K or more a week regularly, and they did this by being strategic and putting in the hours. My best income camming was around 2K a week, or 6-8K a month, although I don't cam much these days, it has always been reliable for me when I put in the effort. The potential also goes way up, if you're able to make passive income with things like subscription sites (OnlyFans) or selling content (IWantClips, ManyVids, Niteflirt, etc).
There's a potentially tremendous payoff to camming. There are cam models who are millionaires. So yes it's more than possible to make a living salary camming, but you have to put in effort. It's a lot of showing up on a consistent basis every single day. Some days are disappointing, other days are great. Though the strip club is becoming less reliable than it was years ago, so not much is different.
In your situation, I think camming would be beneficial especially since it sounds like you're no stranger to hard work. If you're going to be stressed and have a demanding schedule, might as well be making good money while you're at it. There are girls who would disagree with me, but in my opinion if you're consistent and doing everything you can to be a successful cam girl, there's no way you won't have something good to show for it.
